You may call and schedule a flu shot or walk in at any time during regular office hours and our staff will assist you as soon as possible.
Persons at high risk for getting severe influenza that should get vaccinated are: young children under 5 years of age, people over 65, persons less than 19 years old that are on chronic asaprin therapy, pregnant women, and people with chronic heart, lung, endocrine, cancer, diabetes, or chronic medical illnesses, native americans, and those that are morbidly obese with a BMI of greater than 40.
You should not have a flu shot if you have an allergy to eggs or egg products, chicken proteins, thimerosol, or if you have a fever, acute respiratory illness, acute infection, active neurologic disorder, or a history of Guillan-Barre syndrome within 6 weeks of having a flu vaccine.
